The rotor and bail of the new Fuego are of the AIRDRIVE type: completely redesigned to minimize rotational inertia. Thanks to this construction, the rotor (made of ZAION V, a special carbon composite, is 40% lighter yet stronger. This ensures smoother rotation, less inertia, and more control over the lure's movement during retrieval. The bail is also designed to be more resistant to line entanglement: knots are minimized because the shape of the bail allows the line to slide away and immediately return to the correct position. This is further supported by the new Twist Buster 3 line guide, which features an extra groove to better hold the line in place. A magnetized oil film – an exclusive Daiwa technology – protects the internal mechanisms and reduces the chance of dirt and saltwater penetrating the mechanism. This extends the reel's durability, especially when used in saltwater environments. The Fuego is equipped with Automatic Tournament Drag Type – L, a latest-generation drag system that responds even more progressively and precisely than before. The wide range of sizes (from 1000 to 6000), combined with robustness, compactness, and saltwater resistance, makes the Fuego an ideal reel for various fishing techniques – including medium to heavy spinning in saltwater.
