Smartlures Goes Sweden - October 17 to 24, 2026

The trip takes place from Saturday, October 17 to Sunday, October 24 during the autumn break. This allows school-aged children to join this unique fishing trip as well.

In previous years, we have also organized group trips to this location for Roofmeister, among others, with 20 participants. In a single week, they caught more than 1,000 (!) pike during this period. So, it has certainly been proven that they are there. Do you fancy catching a good number of pike? Then join us in Dragso in Southern Sweden!
This top location has all the facilities to make this week unforgettable. It has become a complete package; all you have to do is drive to the location, bring your fishing rods, and some money. Then everything will be just fine. With this package, you are completely taken care of, and all that remains is for you to fish!
For this trip, we require a minimum of 10 rented homes for it to go ahead. Additionally, we have a minimum age requirement of 12, and participants under 18 must be personally accompanied by an adult.

This is what things were like here in 2023:
On the island of Dragso, in the southwest of Sweden in the archipelago directly off the coast, lies one of the most professional fishing camps in all of Sweden. Right next to Karlskrona, you find yourself in the heart of nature in one of the best imaginable fishing areas in this part of Sweden. The potential fishing area covers no less than several square kilometers, and with the well-equipped fishing boats, you can reach the location quickly and comfortably. Furthermore, fishing here is based solely on catch & release, making this spot an attractive option for the long term and at all times of the year.
This location is open from late March through late November. Most anglers come here to fish for pike. This is carried out primarily in the shallow waters in early spring and late autumn. During this period, you will see the pike simply attack your lures, resulting in very spectacular fishing. In the period in between, you fish in the deeper parts and around the islands, and there is plenty of action to be found in the emerging vegetation beds.
Regarding artificial lures, the following are recommended based on experience and the fact that more fish are caught on them than on other colors and types: the colors red/black, blue/white, and 'motor oil'. Naturally, striking colors work better in murky water, while natural colors are better in clear water.
And to think that this location is just a little less than a 10-hour drive from the Netherlands, making it easy and quick to reach. The fishing here is truly different; you have a very large area at your disposal, you are right in the middle of the archipelago and nature, and you can completely unwind here. Karlskrona is a 5-minute drive away and boasts a vibrant nightlife, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, gas stations, etc. You can find everything you might need during your stay here. So, if the weather is less favorable, you can also pop into the city if you prefer.
