Shimano Expride - Casting

The Expride series exudes quality and ranks directly below the world-renowned Poison Adrena in terms of technology. The Expride range includes a wide selection of rods for lure fishing.
The extra-fast action makes the Expride family suitable for almost any modern fishing technique and a wide variety of lures, i.e. all finesse techniques (e.g. dropshot, Texas, Carolina), fishing with hardbaits (e.g. twitchbaits, crankbaits, topwater) but also for light spinning for trout. The fast action makes the rods very sensitive and super taut for optimal power transmission when striking and during the fight.
The Expride has been improved and, compared to the previous model, the blank is made of higher modulus carbon. This results in an even faster action, better balance, and a slight weight reduction. The newly designed reel seat not only looks good but also gives you more sensitivity and grip. Each model is available in 1+1 (one-piece with detachable handle) and 2-piece (sections of equal length) options.
The remarkable sensitivity you feel when using Expride is the result of two exclusive Shimano technologies. The High Modulus Full Carbon blanks are made using Hi-Power X technology. This reduces blank twist during casting and fishing, resulting in a very responsive feel. A Carbon Monocoque handle has also been added, which transmits more information from the blank to your hand, giving you an unprecedented feel for what is happening underwater with your lure. To further improve the sensitivity and performance of the rod, the Expride is equipped with Fuji SiC guides and a lightweight Shimano Ci4+ reel seat.
The stunning performance is complemented by a classic matte black blank and a cork foregrip; one of the most attractive combinations we have ever created!
The 1+1 models have a one-piece main section with an incredibly fast action, providing unprecedented directness. For a more convenient transport solution, 2-piece options are also available in all models, which, due to their manufacturing quality, are barely distinguishable from the 1+1 models.
