Predator Event Rügen 2026

To uphold the Rügen tradition, we are once again organizing the long weekend of pike fishing, led by Marc Zitvast and our colleagues Daan and Lau.

The Predator Event Rügen 2026 will take place from Thursday, November 5th to Sunday, November 8th, 2026.

On Saturday, October 3rd, there will be an information day at Smartlures where Daan, Marc, and Lau can provide you with all the details about the event.

Fishing will primarily involve wading in the relatively shallow, brackish waters of Rügen, Germany, in pursuit of strong pike. Of course, enthusiasts can also bring a belly boat. Rügen is known for its very strong brackish water pike with beautiful markings and a fantastic environment.

The journey (from Utrecht) is approximately 700km. The plan is to arrive in Rügen after lunch on Thursday, November 5th.

On Thursday, November 5th, around noon, we will arrive in Rügen, meet at a pre-arranged location, and then head to the water to catch the first pike.

In the evening, the organization will provide dinner. On Friday, November 6th, and Saturday, November 7th, 2026, we can fish all day, and the organization will provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On Sunday, November 8th, 2026, the organization will provide breakfast, and fishing will be possible throughout the day.

Fishing will primarily be done in pairs, with a maximum of 4 people per spot to avoid disturbing the area with too large a group.

Each cottage will be supplied with sufficient food for breakfast and lunch. In the evening, a simple but hearty meal will be provided. On Thursday (arrival day), this will be a delicious, substantial meal. On Friday and Saturday evenings, a wonderful barbecue will be arranged with plenty of meat for everyone. Please bring your own extra snacks or drinks for the evenings! Transportation must be arranged by participants.

The organization will provide:

• Fishing permits for participants
• Apartment for five people with shared bedrooms
• Tea, coffee, and water in the apartment (other drinks and snacks during fishing and for the evening must be brought by you)
• Breakfast 3 times - November 6th, 7th, and 8th, 2026
• Lunch 2 times - November 6th and 7th, 2026
• Dinner 3 times - November 5th, 6th, and 7th, 2026
• Information about the relevant fishing area
• Special information meeting at Smartlures for participants who have registered for the trip; a date for this will follow.

The organization will not provide:

• Round-trip transportation (the organization will create a WhatsApp group to facilitate carpooling if desired)
• Breakfast and lunch on Thursday, November 5th
• Lunch and dinner on Sunday, November 8th
• All drinks and snacks consumed outside of breakfast throughout the entire period. So, please bring your own beer/wine/soda, etc., for the entire period.
• All equipment (waders, wading boots, rods, reels, lines, lures, etc.)
• Catch guarantee

Participate in Predator Event Rügen 2026

You can book your participation for the Predator Event Rügen 2026 via this page. For an optimal booking, we require some of your details. If you wish to participate with multiple people, you can indicate this. In that case, we will also need some details from your fellow travelers.

The price for participation in the Predator Event Rügen 2026 is €339,- per person. Each participant will receive a gift voucher worth €50,- to spend in the Smartlures store and webshop.

Further information about the trip, accommodation, and fishing area will be sent to you after booking. 

Payment conditions

At the time of booking, payment must be made via iDeal or bank transfer. Your reservation is only final once payment has been received and you have received a confirmation email from us.

Cancellation

Cancellation of the trip by the customer
If you wish to cancel the trip, the cancellation conditions below apply. Only written cancellations will be processed. 

Cancellation conditions

• For cancellations before September 30th, 2026, you will receive: 50% of the travel sum back.
• For cancellations after September 30th, 2026, and before October 20th, 2026, you will receive: 25% of the travel sum back.
• For cancellations after October 20th, 2026, you will receive: 10% of the travel sum back.

We advise you to take out cancellation insurance.

Cancellation of the trip by the organization

We reserve the right to cancel a trip if this is necessary due to external problems. We will inform you in writing, with reasons, that the trip will not take place. The full travel sum will be refunded to you within two weeks of cancellation.

Substitution

The traveler may be replaced by another person under the following conditions.

• The change must be submitted in writing
• The substitute must agree to the booking conditions
• The request must be submitted by October 20th, 2026, at the latest, due to the arrangement of necessary fishing permits
• The cost of the change is a one-time fee of €25,-
  
  

Travel documents

Upon departure, you must be in possession of the following documents: a valid and unexpired passport or (where permitted) an ID card, optionally a driving license and green card. You must obtain any necessary additional information and current regulations from the relevant authorities yourself and check well in advance of departure that previously provided information has not changed in the meantime.

Organization's Responsibility

The organization cannot be held responsible and/or liable in any way for any theft of and/or damage to property. In the event of an emergency, such as acute illness or an accident, the organization will endeavor to arrange necessary assistance as quickly as possible. We are not liable for any consequences such as first aid visits, hospital admission, or repatriation. You must take out travel insurance for this yourself.  

Traveler's Responsibility

You are obliged to follow all our instructions to promote the proper execution of the trip. A traveler who causes such a disturbance or nuisance that the proper execution of the trip is jeopardized may be excluded from (continuation of) the trip by the organization. All costs resulting from this will be borne by the traveler.

Travel Insurance

Participants in the Predator Event Rügen 2026 are strongly advised to take out cancellation insurance and travel insurance. For more information about the terms of your insurance, please contact your insurance company.
