The SLX XT is an advanced version of the hugely popular SLX - one of Shimano's most popular reels. Unlike the regular SLX, the 'XT' version features the advanced SVS Infinity braking system. The SLX XT is the upgraded version of the hugely popular SLX. Equipped with a HAGANE Body with the same quality gearing, the 'XT' version uses the advanced SVS Infinity braking system, making it also suitable for fishing with lighter lures. In addition, the reel is equipped with an external adjustment knob to allow you to adjust casting control while fishing, without having to remove the sideplate.

Like all SLX models, the 'XT' features a lightweight aluminum HAGANE Body, which is surprising for a reel in this price range. This provides a significant performance advantage over standard spools, as a strong, stiff body works more effectively under pressure. The SVS Infinity system offers finer tuning of the drag system to easily switch between different types and sizes of lures. To enhance the reel's performance, the 'XT' is equipped with an advanced aluminum S3D spool and an additional high-end ball bearing on the spool shaft. This allows you to fish very light lures with ease.
