The new Caldia retains the qualities that have made it famous over the years and takes them to a higher level: exceptional lightness, excellent build quality and – not unimportantly – a sleek and elegant design. The body is still a ZAION V monocoque, but all the technological innovations of the AIRDRIVE DESIGN concept have been applied. This design, introduced on the top-of-the-line 22 EXIST and then rolled out to other series, improves the rotor, spool, bail arm, and line roller of the new Caldia. The drag system has also been renewed: the ATD-L drag is extremely smooth at the initial load of the fish and then brakes powerfully and controlled to effectively limit escapes. Developed with Daiwa technology, the Caldia offers a perfect combination of performance, durability and feel – ideal for serious predator anglers.
