The unique feature of the Cheburashka (also known as a bottom or flex jig) is that the weight and the hook do not form a rigid axis. This allows for an extremely flexible and seductive lure movement of the bait underwater.

Tungsten has a higher density than lead and is therefore many times smaller. Due to the lower air and water resistance, greater casting distances and faster descent phases can be achieved.
