The Simms SunGaiter Overcast is a lightweight, breathable sun protection for your face and neck, allowing you to spend more time on the water.
The blue skies and sandy shores of the tropics beckon. When you spend a full day in the sun, you need to bolster your sun protection. The Simms SunGaiter Overcast helps you get back on the water without increased sun exposure. Made from lightweight, quick-drying, stretchy fabric, it features laser-cut breathing holes so you don't feel like you're breathing through a balaclava. The Solarflex® fabric of the Simms SunGaiter Sterling offers UPF 50 sun protection and ensures you are covered from the tip of your nose to the collar of your shirt, with enough height at the back to place it over or under your favorite fly fishing cap.

TECHNOLOGY:
- SolarFlex® stretch fabric; 92% polyester/8% spandex.
UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much of the sun's UV radiation is absorbed. A fabric with a rating of 50 allows only 1/50th of the sun's UV radiation to pass through. This means that the fabric allows for a significant reduction in UV radiation exposure. All Simms UPF finishes are maintained for the lifetime of the garment, which is thirty washes according to industry standard.
