The Expride has been improved, and compared to the previous model, the blank is made of higher-modulus carbon. This results in even faster action, better balance, and a slight weight reduction. The redesigned reel/reel seat not only looks good but also offers increased sensitivity and grip. Each model is available in 1+1 (one-piece design with a removable handle) and 2-piece (equal-length sections) options.
The remarkable sensitivity you feel when using the Expride is the result of two exclusive Shimano technologies. The High Modulus Full Carbon blanks are constructed using Hi-Power X technology. This reduces blank twist when casting and fishing, resulting in a highly responsive feel. A Carbon Monocoque handle has also been added that transfers more information from the blank to your hand, giving you an unprecedented sense of what’s happening with your lure underwater. To further enhance the rod’s sensitivity and performance, the Expride is fitted with Fuji SiC guides and a lightweight Shimano Ci4+ reel seat.

The 1+1 models feature a single-piece main body with an incredibly fast action, giving you unprecedented directness.
