The Airflo 40+ Expert 400 Grain DI8 Booby Special Fly Line is a seriously fast sinking 40+ Black/Fluo Orange fly line which sinks at a rate of 8 inches/20 cm per second. Ideal for boat or bank anglers looking for unrivalled distance and depth.
For experienced fly anglers who want to cast further, with ultra-fast tip action rods, who have the casting ability to maintain a stable loop, Airflo created the Forty Plus Expert so these guys can cast even greater distances.
The latest addition to the range is the Airflo 40+ Expert 400 Grain DI8 Booby Special Fly Line. Originally designed for long range bank fishing, among others on concrete bowl type reservoirs in the UK; this line gets the distance and drops the flies quickly to depths of 30’/9 meters or more. The head is 55’/16.75 meters long and is designed to be cut to suit your individual rod, it has a Di8 sink rate and would need to be cut to 40’/12 meters or so to work on a #7/8 fly rod. An ultra-thin running line is ridged to reduce tangles and its hi-vis orange colour is great for spotting takes. Total line length is 55 yards/49.50 meters.
