Information Day Rügen 2024
On Saturday, September 28, a special Rügen information day will be organized at the Fly Supply store. This day is entirely dedicated to fly fishing for pike in Rügen, Germany
Marc Zitvast and the Fly Supply Team will be present to share everything about pike fishing and provide further information about the Rügen weekend. Top tier fly tier Ronald Pop will be tying Rügen Streamers. There will also be materials available for those who want to join in and tie alongside. Of course, this is free of charge, and everything will be enjoyed with some snacks and drinks; participation is free

Predator Event Rügen 2024
Since 2016, Smartlures.nl has organized the annual Predator Event Rügen. Fly Supply has taken over Smartlures, and to maintain the Rügen tradition, we are also organizing the long weekend of pike fishing this year under the guidance of Marc Zitvast and our colleague Daan
From Thursday, November 7, 2024, to Sunday, November 10, 2024, the Predator Event Rügen 2024 will take place
Fishing will primarily occur in the relatively shallow, brackish waters of Rügen, Germany, targeting strong pike. Naturally, enthusiasts can also bring a belly boat. Rügen is known for its powerful brackish water pike with beautiful markings and a fantastic environment
The trip (from Utrecht) is approximately 700 km. The plan is to arrive in Rügen after lunch on Thursday, November 7
On Thursday, November 7, 2024, around noon, we will arrive in Rügen and meet at a pre-agreed location, then head to the water to catch the first pike
In the evening, the organization will provide dinner. On Friday, November 8, and Saturday, November 9, 2024, we can fish all day, and the organization will provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On Sunday, November 10, 2024, the organization will provide breakfast, and fishing can take place throughout the day
Fishing will mainly be in pairs, with a maximum of 4 people at one spot to avoid crowding the area
For each cabin, there will be enough food available for breakfast and lunch. In the evening, a simple but hearty meal will be provided. On Thursday (arrival day), this will be a tasty hearty meal. On Friday and Saturday evenings, a delicious barbecue will be provided with plenty of meat for everyone. Bring your own snacks or drinks for the evenings! Transportation is the responsibility of participants
The organization provides:
- Fishing permits for participants
- Apartment for five people with shared bedrooms
- Tea, coffee, and water in the apartment (other drinks and snacks during fishing and in the evening must be brought by you)
- Breakfast 3 times – November 8, 9, 10, 2024
- Lunch 2 times – November 8, 9, 2024
- Dinner 3 times – November 7, 8, 9, 2024
- Information about the fishing area
- Special information meeting at Fly Supply in the store for participants who have registered for the trip; a date will be announced later
The organization does not provide:
- Transportation to and from (the organization will create a group chat for possible carpooling)
- Breakfast and lunch on Thursday, November 7
- Lunch and dinner on Sunday, November 10
- All drinks and snacks consumed outside breakfast during the entire period. Please bring your own beer/wine/soft drinks for the entire duration
- All fly fishing materials (waders, wading shoes, rods, reels, lines, streamers, etc.)

Participating in Predator Event Rügen 2024
Through this page, you can book your participation for the Predator Event Rügen 2024. For optimal booking, we need several details from you. If you want to participate with multiple people, you can indicate this. We will also need some information from your travel companions in that case
The price for participation in the Predator Event Rügen 2024 is €339 per person. Each participant will receive a gift voucher worth €50 to spend in the Fly Supply store and webshop
Further information about the trip, accommodation, and fishing area will be sent to you after booking. Additionally, a special Predator Event Rügen information meeting will be held at Fly Supply in the store on September 28, 2024
Payment Terms
At the time of booking, you must make the payment via iDeal or bank transfer. Your reservation is only definitive once the payment is made, and you have received a confirmation email from us
Cancellation
Cancellation of the trip by the customer
If you wish to cancel the trip, the cancellation conditions below apply. Only written cancellations will be considered
Cancellation conditions
If canceled before September 30, 2024, you will receive: 50% of the trip cost back
If canceled after September 30, 2024, and before October 20, 2024, you will receive: 25% of the trip cost back
If canceled after October 20, 2024, you will receive: 10% of the trip cost back
We advise you to take out cancellation insurance
Cancellation of the trip by the organization
We reserve the right to cancel a trip if necessary due to external issues. We will inform you in writing of the reason that the trip will not take place. The full trip cost will be refunded within two weeks after cancellation
Replacement
The traveler can be replaced by another person under the following conditions
- The change must be submitted in writing
- The replacement must agree to the booking conditions
- The request must be submitted no later than October 20, 2024, to arrange the necessary fishing permits
- The cost of the change is a one-time fee of €25
Travel Documents
Upon departure, you must have the following documents: a valid and unexpired passport or (where permitted) an ID card, possibly a driver’s license, and a green card. You must obtain any additional information and current regulations from the relevant authorities and check in advance that the previously provided information has not changed
Organization Responsibility
The organization cannot be held responsible for any theft of or damage to property in any way. In the event of an emergency, such as acute illness or an accident, the organization will make every effort to arrange the necessary assistance as quickly as possible. We are not liable for any consequences such as first aid visits, hospital stays, or repatriation. You should obtain your own travel insurance for this
Traveler Responsibility
You are obliged to comply with all instructions from us to promote the proper execution of the trip. A traveler who causes such trouble or nuisance that the proper execution of the trip is endangered may be excluded from (continuation of) the trip by the organization. All costs resulting from this will be borne by the traveler
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that participants in the Predator Event Rügen 2024 take out cancellation and travel insurance. For more information on the conditions of your insurance, please contact your insurance company
