Description
The Knottable Steel Leader Wire is one of the very few steel wire types that are REALLY easy to knot. The material consists of a core of GSP (or dyneema) surrounded by a sheath of braided flat stainless steel wire. This makes the Knottable Steel Leader Wire extremely flexible, very light and stronger than most other steel wires. It is easy to knot with all the common knots we use in sport fishing.
Does NOT get twisted! Even so-called ‘corkscrews’, that can get into it as a result of grating past pike teeth, are very easy to remove: hold the steel wire under tension and rub the fibres back into place between thumb and forefinger (with a ‘money-counting gesture’). Light, supple, so ideal for fly fishing.
Available in 6, 10, 15, 20 kg and 40 kg tensile strength.
